Walking Rugby is a fantastic opportunity for anyone aged 55 and over to get involved in this great version of the game of rugby. It is open to both men and women and no prior experience of the game is needed. It is non contact so there is no tackling, scrums or lineouts!
The sessions are currently being held indoors at AKS Lytham each Tuesday evening from 7pm until 8pm.
As the nights start to become lighter the Walking Rugby sessions will move to Fylde Rugby Club. The Foundation intend to offer 3 different sessions, so if you are a relatively fit 55 year old who used to play rugby or someone who is much older (our oldest player currently is 84!) and not very active and have never played rugby before there will be a session suitable for you. After all, the motto of the Foundation is “Rugby For All.”
Thanks to the support of Tilney, Smith and Williamson the sessions are free of charge and once we are back at Fylde Rugby Club refreshments will be provided afterwards which will also be free of charge.
If you would like to attend or would like to know more about the sessions or about the Foundation please contact Amelia Bullock on 07949 504857 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
