Salary: £23,000 – £25,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Location: Lytham St Annes, Lancashire (FY8 4EL)
Start Date: Monday 01st September 2025

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Community Sports Coach who shares our passion for developing the community and enhancing opportunities through sport. This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in expanding our impact, delivering outstanding coaching, and driving community engagement.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering high-quality rugby and multi-sport coaching sessions in schools, clubs, and the wider community.
  • Coaching and leading on sports camps during school holidays.
  • Delivering before, during, and after-school provision.
  • Supporting sponsored and partnership-based community programmes.
  • Driving participation in our RugRatz sessions and school engagement events.
  • Working closely with the Operations Manager and Programme Leads to plan, evaluate, and continuously improve our delivery.

 

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • England Rugby Coaching Award (RFU Level 2), equivalent qualification, or currently working towards one
  • Previous experience delivering coaching in schools and community settings.
  • Confidence coaching participants from diverse backgrounds, ages, and abilities.
  • A positive, adaptable approach and the ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
  • A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience planning and delivering multi-sport activities.
  • Knowledge of effective marketing and communication to support programme growth
  • Experience mentoring junior coaches, volunteers, or apprentices.
  • Safeguarding qualifications above the minimum requirements (e.g., Designated Safeguarding Lead training).
  • Familiarity with using digital platforms and social media to engage participants and promote programmes.
  • Experience developing partnerships with schools, clubs, or community organisations to drive participation.
  • First Aid Certificate.
