Festive Fun and Rugby Smiles at Fylde RFC as Christmas Camps Prove a Huge Success

The Fylde Rugby Community Foundation delivered two action-packed days of Christmas Kids Rugby & Multisports Camps at Fylde RFC, welcoming children from across the local community for an unforgettable festive experience.

Across the two days, 112 places were filled, including 39 children supported through the HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) programme and 30 places funded by the Wooden Spoon charity, ensuring the camps were accessible and inclusive for families who benefit most from holiday provision.

Children enjoyed two fun-filled days packed with engaging games, rugby, multi-sports sessions, festive-themed activities and plenty of laughter, all delivered in a safe, supportive and energetic environment. The celebrations were topped off with a Christmas party and a very special visit from Santa Claus, creating magical memories for everyone involved.

Amelia Summersgill-Smith, Programme Lead at the Fylde Rugby Community Foundation, commented:

“These Christmas camps were all about giving children a positive, active and exciting experience during the holidays. Seeing so many smiles, especially knowing we were able to support families through the HAF programme and Wooden Spoon, made it incredibly rewarding. The atmosphere across both days was fantastic, and we’re proud to be able to offer something that truly benefits our community.

I would also like to send a huge thanks to the The Forward Pass for donating a selection box for every child to receive off Father Christmas!”

Following the success of the Christmas camps, the Foundation is already looking ahead to its February Half-Term Camps, which will run on:

Tuesday 17th February

Wednesday 18th February
