The Fylde Rugby Community Foundation is proud to celebrate the continued success and expansion of its Elite Rugby Player Development Programme, now delivered across three thriving venues: Fylde RFC, Fleetwood RUFC, and Garstang RUFC.
The growth of the programme reflects a clear appetite among ambitious young players across the Fylde Coast to access high-quality coaching and a genuine development pathway.
Developing Intelligent, Confident Rugby Players:
The Elite Rugby Player Development Camp is designed to enhance young players’ core skills, principles of play and game understanding. All delivered by qualified coaches alongside County-level and National League players.
Half-Term Camps Deliver Outstanding Impact:
The recent half-term camps at Fylde RFC and Fleetwood RUFC were a huge success, welcoming over 30 young players across the two venues.
Across both sites, coaches noted significant improvements in decision-making, physicality, communication and confidence, with many players transferring those skills straight into their weekend matches.
One parent recently shared powerful feedback following the Fylde camp:
“My son had the best time at the Elite Camp. The coaching was brilliant and the sessions were clearly structured and professional. He played on the Sunday afterwards and his tackling ability and confidence were on another level. We’ll definitely be booking on future camps.”
Feedback like this reinforces the programme’s impact, not just in technical development, but in building belief and match-day confidence.

Our aim is to develop intelligent rugby players who understand the game, compete with confidence, and thrive as teammates. The standard and attitude we’ve seen at recent camps has been outstanding, and it’s exciting to see those improvements carrying into weekend performances.”
Easter Elite Camps – Now Live and Ready to Book
The Easter Elite Rugby Player Development Camps are now open for booking at all three venues:
• Fleetwood RUFC (2-Day Camp): 7th – 8th April
• Garstang RUFC (1-Day Camp): Thursday 9th April
• Fylde RFC (1-Day Camp): Friday 10th April
