Our popular Rugratz Rugby Sessions have now branched into 2 locations.
Garstang Rugby Club will now host Rugratz Rugby every Saturday morning. This is a great step for The Fylde Rugby Community Foundation as they expand this impactful programme across both Fylde & Wyre Areas.
Key Mortgage Advice Rugratz Rugby is an exciting initiative to engage preschool aged children in the sport of rugby. These sessions include fun games and coaching new skills so that they are able to start their rugby journey from an early age. There are many benefits for toddler sports including aiding in their development, improving social and communication skills, helping with focus and facilitating parents and guardians to bond through our parent participation.
Foundation Manager, Phill Mills says “We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our Rugratz Rugby program into Garstang, in collaboration with Garstang Rugby Club. This expansion opens doors for more preschoolers to experience the joys of rugby, while also providing a pathway for them to continue their rugby journey at their local rugby club as they come of age”
Each 6-week block of sessions are specifically tailored to have a key focus on improving eye to hand coordination and social skills in a safe, fun, sporting environment.
It is with great thanks to Key Mortgage Advice and their generous support that The Fylde Rugby Community Foundation have been able to offer another location, at Garstang Rugby Club, enabling the children in their local area access to this fantastic programme.
