We are delighted to thank The DJ Sidebottom/Glasdon Charitable Programme for their continued support of the Blackpool Primary School Tag Rugby Programme.
With their generosity, 10 primary schools across Blackpool were able to take part in a 10-week programme of fun and engaging tag rugby sessions, designed to encourage physical activity, teamwork, and confidence.
Each week, pupils explored one of rugby’s core values:
- Teamwork
- Respect
- Enjoyment
- Discipline
- Sportsmanship
Reflecting on how these can be applied both in school and in everyday life.
The programme culminated in a fantastic Tag Rugby Festival at Fylde Rugby Club, where pupils came together to showcase their skills and enjoy a day of fun and teamwork.
Foundation Director, Phill Mills, said: “We are incredibly grateful to The DJ Sidebottom/Glasdon Charitable Programme for their generous support. This has helped us inspire children across Blackpool, encouraging them to stay active, grow in confidence, and embrace the lifelong values of rugby.”
Through the support of partners like The DJ Sidebottom/Glasdon Charitable Programme, we continue to create meaningful opportunities for young people across the Fylde Coast, using rugby as a powerful tool to improve health and community connection.
