Fylde Rugby Community Foundation is delighted to announce that Napthens Solicitors are supporting the Foundation as a Programme Sponsor for its Highfield Mentoring and Rugby Programme, commencing from September 2026.
The partnership represents a shared commitment to supporting young people and creating positive opportunities through education, mentoring and sport.
Delivered at Highfield Leadership Academy, the Mentoring and Rugby Programme is designed to engage young people who may benefit from additional support, helping them build confidence, resilience and key life skills through a combination of classroom-based mentoring and practical rugby sessions.
Using the core values of rugby: Teamwork, respect, discipline, enjoyment and sportsmanship.
The programme creates a positive environment where students can develop both personally and socially. Through regular mentoring sessions, pupils are encouraged to reflect on challenges, set goals, improve their communication skills and develop strategies to overcome barriers that may be impacting their education or wellbeing.
The support from Napthens Solicitors will help ensure the continued delivery and development of the programme at Highfield Leadership Academy, enabling more students to access the opportunities, guidance and support it provides.
Mark Sutcliffe, Foundation Operations Manager, said:
“At Fylde Rugby Community Foundation, we see first-hand the difference that mentoring and positive role models can make in a young person’s life. We are delighted Napthens Solicitors is now a Programme Sponsor and thank them for investing in the future of young people in our community. Their support will help us continue creating opportunities for students to grow in confidence, develop valuable life skills and realise their potential both on and off the rugby field.”
Keith Melling, Partner and Head of the Corporate Team at Napthens, said:
