Rowland Homes announced as the new Headline Sponsor of Fylde Rugby Community Foundation

Fylde Rugby Community Foundation is delighted to announce Rowland as its new Headline Foundation Sponsor, supporting the charity’s work to bring people together and create opportunities through rugby.

The partnership will support the Foundation’s delivery across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre, helping children, young people and adults access activities that encourage physical wellbeing, build confidence and strengthen community connections.

Established in 1993, Rowland is a family-owned housebuilder creating homes and communities across the North West. With developments including Richmond Point and Roseacre Meadows in Lytham St Annes, and Royal Gardens in Bispham, the company has an established presence on the Fylde Coast. Its focus on creating places where people feel at home naturally aligns with the Foundation’s commitment to belonging and community participation. The partnership brings a local focus to the announcement, connecting Rowland’s presence in the area with the Foundation’s work in communities across Lytham St Annes, Blackpool, Bispham and Poulton.

As Headline Foundation Sponsor, Rowland will receive recognition across the Foundation’s activities, reflecting its broad support for the charity’s work.

George Rowley, Managing Director at Rowland Homes, said:

“Having met with the Foundation and learnt more about its work, the scope of its impact and the positive results it is achieving across the Fylde Coast far exceeded my expectations.

“The opportunities it provides for young people to get involved in rugby, and the positive impact this can have on their lives, are outstanding. Seeing that difference being made so close to home, here on the Fylde Coast, makes it all the more meaningful.”

From school programmes and holiday camps to Walking Rugby and Wheelchair Rugby, the Foundation creates opportunities for people of different ages, backgrounds and abilities to get involved. Its work goes beyond the pitch, using rugby to support learning, encourage friendships and help participants develop skills they can carry into everyday life.

Phill Mills, Foundation Director at Fylde Rugby Community Foundation, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Rowland as our Headline Foundation Sponsor. Their support will make a valuable contribution across everything we deliver, helping us create opportunities for more people to experience the benefits of rugby.

“Our programmes are about much more than playing sport. They help people build confidence, make connections and feel part of their community. Having a business with such a strong local presence supporting that work is something we are incredibly grateful for.

“We look forward to building a lasting relationship with the Rowland team and sharing the difference their support helps us make across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.”

Fylde Rugby Community Foundation extends a heartfelt thank you to Rowland for its support and is proud to welcome  Rowland to the Foundation rugby family.
